    • For moderately-priced hotel resort accommodations in Phoenix that cater to families, you can't beat the Pointe Hilton at Piestewa Peak. The hotel offers a slew of kid-friendly amenities, including an on-site recreation area known as the Hole-in-the-Wall River Ranch, which features a 130-foot water slide and 1,000 feet of "river" winding past tennis courts, a miniature golf course, and numerous decorative buttes. The hotel also hosts a youth program called "Coyote Camp," but adults aren't left out of the mix here. Golf, tennis, and a full menu of relaxing services at the Tocasierra Spa cater to the adults. The hotel is a perfectly situated base for exploring nearby Camelback Mountain and, as the resort's name indicates, scenic Piestewa Peak.

    • Only spent one night here, but it was worth it. The room was huge. The bed was luxurious. The pools were a ton of fun. The only concern I had was finding a place to park near the room...
