The de la Cruz family knows their stuff. Their restaurant, El Zocalo Mexican Grille, in old town Chandler, has become a favorite with locals-in-the-know. Sonoran staples like tacos, burritos, nachos, and enchiladas are served up with the restaurant's special recipe sauces. The machaca beef dishes are highly recommended, as are almost everything on the menu featuring shrimp and fish. The lush courtyard is surrounded by mature trees, creating a verdant oasis of good food and conversation that makes for an ideal outdoor dining experience. Live music takes over the courtyard on Friday nights from 7pm to 10pm.
