Located across the street from Postino, my favorite Phoenix wine bar, and under the same ownership, this casual, neighborhood Italian place has a fun retro feel. It's hip and small, and parking is a problem (eat early to avoid trouble finding a parking space), but the food is excellent and the prices are fairly reasonable. For the most part, the dishes here are familiar Italian comfort foods, but they're done very well. If you've never had panzanella (Italian bread salad), this is the place to try it; made with grilled organic chicken, it's an absolute explosion of flavors. Also be sure to try one of the interesting cocktails, like the ginger press, which is made with vodka, house-made ginger ale and fresh lemon, or the radio lemoncello made with Stoli and Italian lemoncello liqueur.
