Description:
Famed Italian architect and long-time Arizona resident Paolo Soleri became well-known for his fusion of architecture and ecology, or "arcology." See this philosophy on display at Soleri's home and studio. Part of the grounds are open to visitors, who can catch a glimpse of the architect's staff hard at work. Hanging prominently throughout the small property are Soleri's famous bronze bells, which are also on sale in the small gift shop. A stop here offers a fascinating glimpse at the work of a major living architect and artist.
