Papago Park - Phoenix

  • Description:

    • Papago Park is a great place to get up close to the red sandstone buttes that are visible from a distance throughout the Valley. The park offers hiking for all ages and levels, and recreational facilities include an archery range, exer-course, fishing lagoons, softball course, and an orienteering course. Visible from almost all points within the park is a white pyramid. This is the tomb of former Arizona governor George Wiley Paul Hunt, who died in 1934.
