Description:

  • Located on 125 acres adjacent to Papago Park, the Phoenix Zoo has been entertaining visitors for a half-century. Four trails lead visitors into habitats replicating such habitats as a tropical rain forest and a African savanna. One of the most popular attractions is The Forest of Uco, which is home to the endangered spectacled bear from South America. On the interactive Discovery Trail, young children learn about small mammals, and even  get chance to help milk a cow or groom a horse.
