The Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix is handily one of the city's best attractions. The Sonoran Desert comes to life in the miles of paved garden paths, dusty nature trails, and interpretive displays. In recent years, the Garden has become a nexus of cultural activity, hosting wine tastings, seasonal fairs, music in the garden series, and outdoor art exhibits from world-renown artist. Truly one of the most beautiful places to visit in the Valley of the Sun.

Fly away together with a hot air balloon ride with Hot Air Expeditions, offering post-flight champagne and hotel transfers. The town of Scottsdale offers exciting shopping, art walks, nightlife and opportunities for romantic adventures. Barcelona offers intriguing Spanish cuisine and dancing.

    Our Local Expert Says:

Margie and the crew from Hot Air Expeditions have been offering visitors a bird's eye view of the Valley for years! Keep in mind that a hot-air balloon ride requires cool temperatures so balloons can only take off at Sunrise or Sunset. Keep this in mind when you book your tour, as you may need to wake up as early as 4:00am to get out to the launch site.

    Description:

As you ascend you will be astounded at how light you feel. Hovering over the valley, you can see and hear the life of the Sonoran desert. Upon landing, an elegant table setting, complete with tablecloth and china, awaits you. Delicacies prepared by a chef will whisk you away to a culinary wonderland. This is not for those on a tight budget but it's definitely worth the money spent for the memory created! The launch site is at Cave Creek and Jomax Road. Sunset flights operate seasonally, November through March.
