• If you're traveling with your family and more risqué cabaret shows are a no-go, the Sphinx might be a good option. Although sometimes called a "cabaret performance show," the dancers and singers are more modestly attired and the show is more about music than about showing off. Expect a mix of traditional Thai dancing, pop songs and Broadway hits to be performed on stage. Despite the name of the place, the performances are not in the restaurant itself, but in the theater right next to it. So you can enjoy the performances either before or after dinner, but not at the same time. The cheaper menus are set in the restaurant and you can choose between Thai or European. If you choose to eat a la carte, you can pick things like smoked salmon with creamed horseradish sauce (U$10), Tom Yam Goong or sour and spicy shrimp soup (U$6) and La Diang (minced pork; also U$6).
