- Baan Rim Pa is located right next to another of Phuket's best restaurants, Da Maurizio. Both places share breathtaking views of the ocean and the Bay of Kalim. Baan Rim Pa offers a one-of-a-kind menu, though. The dishes served here were once reserved for Thailand's royalty only. Though the ingredients are basic (chicken, noodles, prawns), the preparation and flavors are not. Secure a place on the open balcony and try the herbed crispy vermicelli or the fried rolled fish topped with garlic sauce. Both are favorites here and a good example of the Baan Rim Pa's attention to detail. For a taste of something local, order Tom Kloang Pla Grob, a smoked dried fish served in a spicy soup. Prices are high, so don't head to Baan Rim Pa if you're looking for a bargain. The restaurant is especially busy during the evenings, when the views over the ocean are hauntingly beautiful.
