• Keawjai looks very much like a bakery, but don't let first impressions fool you. This is also one of the most popular restaurants with Phuket locals. And as they say… eat where the locals eat if you're looking for good food. This is definitively the case with Keawjai, which is always full of Thai families enjoying the traditional Thai dishes served here, which include gai tod kratiem or fried chicken with garlic. Try also the fried rice with seafood or the fish with black pepper. If you're a vegetarian, ask for the fried vegetables. Though the place is small, there is plenty of seating space, both indoors and on the sidewalk.
