- Surin Gate Kitchen is located inside the Surin Gate Hotel. Just as the accommodations and facilities, Surin Gate Kitchen is chock-full of character, including plenty of Thai touches in the form of dark woods, golden statues and rich textiles. The restaurant is managed by international chef Daniel Isberg, who until 2010 worked with celebrities in Hollywood. Surin Gate Kitchen is cheap if you consider the quality of the food offered (the Swedish cured salmon dish costs about U$8) and the quality of the surroundings. The restaurant is closed on Sundays and during the green season (April to November) only serves dinner, not lunch.
