- The well-established International Bike Week in Phuket takes place in April, during the traditional festival of Songkran. This major biking event has its roots in the Phuket Riders Club, which began in 1991 as a way for local Thais and foreigners to join together on long rides and exchange ideas about their bikes. Phuket Bike Week was born of a desire to bring Thai and international bikers together, donate to charities, and enjoy the splendors of Phuket while bike riding. The bikers take a route of considerable length designed to allow the bikers magnificent views of Phuket's beauty. Beautiful weather, beautiful scenery, and powerful bikes ready for a ride - what more could you ask for?
