Description:
- The Phuket Aquarium holds both sea life and fresh water fish. There are over 50 species on display, including electric eels, snapper turtles and bluefin trevally fish. The aquarium was closed for two and a half years between 2003 and 2005. Now that it's open again, it features better tanks, better life quality for the animals and much more interesting displays. A large underwater glass tunnel allows clear view of the animals, and children can also enjoy the touch pool, where they get to "pet" rays and sea stars. Fish in the large tunnel are fed around 11 a.m. every day, so come around that time if you want a live show.
