Snuba Thailand

  • Type: Sports
  • NileGuide Expert tip:

Snuba is great for children who are too young to try scuba diving.

  • Description:

    • Snuba is a water sports that falls somewhere between snorkeling and scuba diving. You don't need special scuba diving equipment or training to get under the surface. Instead, you wear a snorkeling mask that's connected to a thin tube. This tube connects to a small buoy floating on top of the water. The buoy acts as your oxygen tank, holding the air you need to breathe while underwater. The tube is long enough for you to dive to a depth of up to seven meters. Kids as young as eight can try snuba. Snuba is available all over Phuket, but Racha Yai island has the best companies and access to the best sites. Snuba is best done in the dry season. During the monsoon season (which lasts from May to October), the waters are too agitated to offer clear views.
