"Southern Pines is a few miles from Pinehurst Resort. SOP has a quaint downtown, Amtrak train stop with great boutique shops for ladies, golfers, kids, ice cream shop, book stores and home decor. For Breakfast and lunch go to Betsy's Crepes, Lunch and dinner go to Chapman's Food and Spirits, Scott's Table, Southern Prime Steakhouse for Fine Dining, Vito's Ristorante & Pizzeria is Cash Only and has good pizza and great staff. Pinehurst - best Lunch, dinner and service is Ironwood Pinehurst, then Pinehurst Brewing Company and the Carolina Dining Room in the Resort. For Italian go to Lisi Italian early or you will wait. They also have a great market with delicious Italian subs. Please remember you are in the Hospitality & Bible Belt state so we always say Hello, How y’all doing, thank you and we do not honk our horns or swear at folks. You’ll want to drive the speed limit and slow down as we have lots of deer so take a deep breath and enjoy the beauty of our state and small towns.
