Description:
The restaurant was started by -- you guessed it -- two brothers, one of whom was fortunate enough to be engaged to the excellent chef who helped build both the Plettenberg and Hog Hollow's reputation for fine food. She has since left their kitchen (though they're still married!), but her legacy lives on in the popular dinner dishes she created (like the lamb curry, grilled tuna with vegetables, homemade herbed tagliatelle with smoked salmon trout). During the day, a lighter lunch menu of salads, pitas, and bagels is served. Brothers has a view of the distant ocean, particularly from the open-air terrace; try to reserve a table here if the weather's pleasant. Note: A good alternative is the smaller bistro-style Blue Bay Café, another popular Plett stalwart with distant ocean views from a small balcony. Blue Bay is located a little farther down the main road in the Lookout Centre (tel. 044533-1390).
