    • Situated at the Cape Recife nature reserve is the South African rehabilitation and education education centre, SAMREC for short. The Centre offers visitors a unique as well as interesting insight into the world of the marine life of Algoa Bay. The centre rescues all marine animals but concentrates primarily on marine birds, specifiacally the endangered African penquin. After a visit to SAMREC you can take a hike alomng the beach, explore the rock pools or jut take in the beauty of the area. The Lighthouse that has stood guard over Algoa Bay since 1851 is also very nice to see or take photographs of. for more information you can call +27 (0)41 583 1830 or e-mail samrec@mtnloaded.co.za or visit their website at www.samrec.org.za
