Description:

  • Okeechobee East begins in the Okee-tantie Recreation Area where the Kissimmee River flows into the lake. This particular segment is a 36.2-mile stretch beginning on Taylor Creek Lodge Road. The trail starts off by passing over Taylor Creek then reaches the level. A number of crossings are encountered including Nubbin Slough, Henry Creek, Chancy Bay, and St. Lucie Canal. Okeechobee East ends at Canal Point Recreation Area at the intersection of US 441 and US 98.
