Description:
- Well-known locally for architectural preservation and the hand-painted decoration at their various pubs, the McMenamin brothers converted this abandoned country farm into a microbrew bed and breakfast in 1990. Just outside Portland city limits, the grounds include a brewery, a winery, several restaurants, a movie theater and a golf course. A licensed massage therapist is on staff. No phones or televisions are in the rooms and most guests will share a bathroom.

We stopped at Edgefield to have a quick bite on our way to Portland Airport to pick someone up, and to catch up on a football game. It appeared to us, the only place to watch live TV...

Message from McMenamins Edgefield
Located at the mouth of the Columbia River Gorge, historic McMenamins Edgefield is a former poor farm turned destination hotel. They offer cozy guestrooms, gorgeous gardens, amazing original artwork, an 18-hole pitch-n-putt golf course, massage, a winery and tasting room, distillery, a restaurant serving Northwest-inspired cuisine, small bars, a movie theater showing recently released films and more. Guests from all over the U.S. and beyond come to Edgefield to relax, reinvigorate and refresh with good food, handcrafted ales, wines and spirits and live music seven nights a week. Attend one of our many lively annual events, pay tribute to a remarkable wine at the Celebration of Syrah in April, jam with the hippies at the Jerry Garcia Birthday Bash in July or hoist a stein of German-style bier at our Oktoberfest in September.
