We stayed at the Portland Marriott for a conference in October. The rooms were comfortable and our room had a view of the Willamette River. The hotel is not distinguished in any way....

Location is nice, and within walking distance of the Saturday Market (14 short blocks) and the Farmer's Market (8 blocks or so). Bike rentals are nearby, as is a Yoga studio....

There are two restaurants here, as well as two bars, a beautiful indoor pool and spa area, and a 24-hour athletic club. Convenient to just about every attraction, this is also a scheduled airport shuttle stop. Valet parking is available. It also offers room service, a gift shop, phone, cable movies and pets (by arrangement). If you are traveling to Portland on business, feel free to ask for any special amenities you may require. The staff will do all it can to accommodate you.
