Northeast Portland: Portland

Northeast Portland, one of Portland's more diverse areas, contains the Lloyd District and the Rose Quarter. If you're in the mood for some funky shopping, Alberta Street is a great place to stroll up and down and marvel at the handmade oddities that Portland is known for. Not to be missed is Alberta Street's Last Thursday of every month, where the street literally explodes into the wee hours of the night with artists and street performers. Although most of the Northeast is residential, the unique homes in the neighborhoods of Laurelhurst (in particular Laurelhurst Park) and Alameda are worth checking out on foot if you have extra time in Portland. © NileGuide
