Description:

  • For almost a century and a quarter this watering hole has been making every day "Turkey Day" in downtown. Established in 1879, the bar is said to be Portland's oldest. The heavy, dark-wood tables are reminiscent of an Old World tavern. In 1997, the space was remodeled and now boasts a skylight that was added with the kitchen—a redesigned focal point of the restaurant. The menu has also expanded, but turkey is still the main attraction. Cooked up every way imaginable, Thanksgiving dinner is never out of season here. Full bar service is available.

    Spanish Coffee!

  • We did not eat here but we did try their famous Spanish coffee. The making of this concoction is performance art. And, it is delicious AND potent. Yum.
