    Don't want to wait? Order food to go from the abbreviated menu at the shack and eat it at Piccolo Park on SE 27th Ave. and SE Division. I recommend the Pok Pok Special: half a roasted game hen, green papaya salad, sticky rice and dipping sauces. Yum.

    • Pok Pok serves up traditional Southeast Asian street food. The portions are relatively small, but incredibly flavorful, satisfying, and reasonably priced. Don't be intimidated by the menu. The waitstaff will happily answer any questions and offer helpful suggestions. Try the Papaya Pok Pok (green papaya salad), Kai Yaang (roasted game hen, signature dish), Cha Ca La Vong (catfish marinated and fried in tumeric) or Ike's Vietnamese Fish Sauce Wings. Order sticky rice and young coconut juice with spicy dishes.

      If you wander in during peak times, be prepared for an hour + wait. It's worth it! Be sure to check in with the host, and you can wait at the Whiskey Soda Lounge across the street. Try the Tamarind Whiskey Sour or one of the refreshing drinking vinegars.

      We LOVED this place

    • We loved this place. Relaxed and easy and the chicken literally fell off the bone as you ate it. (sorry veggies, but it was really good). Yummmmmmmy. We were in portland for business...
