- This casual pub has been a long-time fixture of Northwest Portland. The pub is marked by stucco, ivy-dripping walls outside and warm, honey-colored wood and high ceilings inside. Enjoy one of the famous microbrews by the glass or pitcher. Wine is also available. The scrumptious pizza -- available by the slice or pie -- is on the expensive side, but is worth every penny. Select fresh toppings that include whole garlic cloves, feta cheese and pepperoncini. Children are welcome. You may want to tour the adjacent microbrewery, one of Oregon's oldest. Tours are free, as is "Science Pub", a monthly science-themed lecture/discussion series.
