Description:
- Riverside Trail has been designated a National Recreation Trail because of its outstanding scenic qualities and accessibility to urban areas. The trail, recommended for hiker use, weaves along the Clackamas River as
well as through old growth forest, crosses over streams on log-stringer bridges, passes through wet areas on wooden puncheons and offers spectacular views of the Clackamas River. The trail had major reconstruction done in Fall 1998 and is not open to horses.Once you are on the trail, following the trail to the right takes you to Rainbow Campground (approximately 2 miles); the trail to the left takes you to Riverside Campground (approximately 2 miles).
