Description:
- The Zigzag Ranger District features the Salmon-Huckleberry Wilderness, which offers huckleberry picking and is dissected by the Salmon River and Eagle Creek. The Olallie Lake Scenic Area also provides excellent fishing and boating as well as campgrounds and trails for visitors to enjoy.
Recreation in this ranger district includes fishing, hiking, biking, backpacking, camping, horseback riding, huckleberry picking, and boating.
Located in the eastern and middle portions of the Mount Hood National Forest, the Zigzag Ranger District can be accessed from Highway 26 and Primary Forest Routes 42, 58, 46 and 57.
