Coco Plum Cabañas

Description:

• The Coco Plum Cabañas are a congenial slice of Caribbean tranquillity tucked away on the seashore, about a 5-minute drive from Portobelo. All said, it's a cute little place painted in bold, primary colors, with a hammock-strung common building and an on-site restaurant, Las Anclas. The "cabañas" are simple, connecting rooms decorated with marine-themed knickknacks and stenciled art; though clean and cozy, most rooms are dark. Also, there is no hot water in the showers, and the showerhead is just a spigot jutting out of a wall. It's not luxury, but it's not a backpackers' haven, either. There are rooms for two, three, and five guests.
