An adorable family-owned and old-fashioned New York pizza joint, Prima has been in the same family since 1954. It's friendly and cozy, with bar stools at the counter and about 10 tables under hanging plants. The fresh dough is made daily, and sauces and meatballs are made on the premises. Besides some very creative pizzas, including lemon chicken and health-conscious no-fat and low-fat, it serves a mean hot meatball sub and more substantial dishes like lasagna and eggplant parmigiana. Cornwall, by the way, is a small town a stone's throw from West Point and Storm King Art Center in Mountainville -- good to know if you're lugging kids around on art and history tours.
