Kaaterskill Falls Trail

• This beautiful hike begins along a busy road where caution should be heeded. The yellow-blazed route heads into a mixed hardwood and hemlock forest following a lovely rushing stream. The trail climbs sharply from the road offering several nice photo opportunities of Bastion Falls. The falls is a series of two drops with the upper falls crashing 175 feet and the lower falls tumbling 85 feet. Be sure to notice the aged hemlocks which are approximately 200 years old.
