Even with all the culture and history Prague is seeped in, way cool things for hip and happening people abound. A laidback pub atmosphere can be experienced one night; a raging club the next. Funky shops, towers to climb for a beautiful view and even some unusual museums will leave you with a chic impression of the Golden City. Here's ten suggestions for things for cool people to do.
What do you like to do? For the latest in contemporary art, head out to DOX, a cool museum with an excellent gift shop and café. The Museum of Communism is a must-see: explore the myth and realties of life in Czechoslovakia under communism. If you like dance and theatre performances, visit Nova Scena. In addition to showing excellent black light shows, they also do contemporary dance pieces. Jazz lovers will be in heaven in Prague and the Prague Jazz Boat is a great place to hear some good tunes.
If you like to explore outside, take a walk down the river to Tancici dum aka the Dancing House aka the Fred and Ginger Building. Alternatively, gaze at something one could perhaps consider futuristic at the TV Tower, complete with babies crawling up the sides. Need a breath of fresh air? Hot summer days see city dwellers flocking to Divorka Sarka to absorb some nature and go swimming.
Beer fans will want to get up close and personal with their drink of choice via a tour of the Staropramen Brewery. Or just sit and drink in the traditional beer hall atmosphere of U Fleku. Of course, the number one best thing to do in Prague is stroll across Charles Bridge - especially at night.
