If you are looking to live in a bit of luxury during your stay in Prague, you won't have to strain yourself to find a place that will cater to your every whim. Luscious interiors, superior service, five-star restaurant…the list goes on. When nothing but the best will do, check in to one of these beauties.
Thanks to Prague's architecturally rich history, many of the luxury hotels are located in historic buildings. Occasionally this means rooms of varying size and details, but always interesting. The Augustine and Mandarin Oriental are two such properties in which architects have used the existing building to enhance their design. The Intercontinental was one of the first "chain" hotels in Communist Czechoslovakia, and the building from the outside, while not the most attractive, is actually historically protected. Their restaurant offers fabulous Old Town views.
If you are looking for something, dare we say, a bit wild or over the top; look no further than the Buddha-Bar Hotel or the Alchymist Grand Hotel and Spa. The Buddha-Bar's emphasis on red and the Alchymist's royal opulence will leave you feeling like you've been turned into gold. Fine dining can be had in all of our recommended luxury hotels, but for two with special chefs on site, check into the Four Seasons (their restaurant won the country's first Michelin star) or the Radisson SAS Alcron, whose Czech chef is not only excellent, but a friendly guy.
One of the newest hotels in town is the Kempinski Hybernska Prague, located near Namesti Republicky. The Golden Well is probably the perfect combination of intimate location, top-class service and special perks. If you are looking to spend a few days outside of the capital, check out one of Chateau Mcely's award winning eight rooms - all styled differently and with unbelievable charm.
