Eating out with kids can be tough while travelling - and not many kids we know request a plate of pork, bread dumplings and sauerkraut (a typical Czech meal). There are a variety of places though where mom and dad can get something nice, and the kids will enjoy their meal as well.
Zofin Garden Restaurant is one of the best, located on an island, they have a great kid's section at the restaurant. Their Sunday brunch is the best in town for families. For a cheap breakfast or lunch, hit Bohemia Bagel for their "American' menu, plus small children's corner. Pizza is always a safe fallback and both Pizzeria Kmotra and Pizzeria Grosseto will suffice.
If it's got to be something basic like a hamburger or other familiar food, the TGI Friday's outpost will do, as will Jama, which also has a great selection of Czech beers on tap for mom and dad. Café Louvre is good for breakfast, cakes and crepes, while Radost, a vegetarian restaurant, has a huge international menu and a funky interior.
For kids who like to be entertained while dining, visit Folklore Garden for their dinner and singing show. Adventurous families will want to visit Jarmark, a typical Czech "cafeteria." Upon entering you'll receive a ticket which will be marked down with whatever you order. Wander and point and pay for it all at the end.
