Don't let all the boring architecture, history and musical heritage of Prague put you off, kids! There are tons of fun places in Prague for children to discover, as well as parks and cafes that welcome climbing legs and sticky fingers. While an all day walking tour of the city will most likely lead to many bored sighs, there are special places for families to discover together, as well as plenty of parks to let the energy run free.
The number one Prague attraction for kids has to be the Prague Zoo. It's a well-run welcoming place with lots of different animals and things to do. Really, all zoo-lovers should make a trip there. While there, have a wander around Troja Chateau and gardens, right across the street. Another full day can be spent at the top of Petrin Hill. Ride the funicular to the top, climb the mini Eiffel Tower to look down upon Prague, and then check yourself out in the mirror maze.
Visiting Prague's Old Town Square is a must, and kids will dig it too. Watch the astronomical clock do its thing at the top of the hour, and then use those legs to climb the Old Town Hall Tower for a view of the square.
Prague's version of SeaWorld will delight animal lovers, and do the proper Prague cultural thing by taking in a marionette performance at the Theatre of Spejbl and Hurvinek.
