Prague 1 - General
The Czech capital, Prague, has a rich history illustrated by an impressive blend of architectural styles. Lying on either bank of the Vltava River, the city of Prague has just over one million inhabitants and is divided into ten districts. The oldest of these is Prague 1, which includes Old Town, Lesser Town, New Town and the Castle District. The historically important and enchantingly beautiful city center is by no means all Prague has to offer, however. Suburban neighborhoods like Vinohrady, Vyšehrad, Žižkov, Smíchov, and Dejvice possess a remarkable past, inspiring present, and exciting future all their own.
