Prague 1 - Mala Strana
Crossing Charles Bridge from Old Town takes you to the picturesque Lesser Town (Malá Strana), an area characterized by a certain hushed elegance. A number of embassies inhabit Lesser Town, along with perfectly pruned gardens and arresting baroque churches, including the Church of St. Nicholas.
Due to its graceful manner and magnificent views, Lesser Town is also the home to some of Prague's finest restaurants, including Hergetova Cihelna and Kampa Park. Even the nightlife is cozy, with offerings like U Maleho Glena Bar and Jazz Club.
Malá Strana may be elegant but it isn't uptight. The rowdy JJ Murphy's and the hip, chilled out Blue Light also make their homes here. While you're in the neighborhood, take time to relax on Kampa Island and praise peace at the Lennon Wall. And, of course, don't miss the views from Petřín Hill.
