- French for 'Red Hat', but you wont find many of those there. Open all hours of the morning and just behind the Tyn Church (The many spired centerpiece of Old Town Square) it has a floor for whatever your pleasure. There is a Irish pub like atmosphere on the top floor, usually packed with locals and tourists, sometimes a DJ. Go one floor down, and you have a few rooms of cover free dancing, DJ, and the ubiquitous aroma of something not tobacco burning, with enterprising vendors all around. The Chapeau Underground Club is yet another floor below, in the bowels of the city itself. Usually featuring live indie or house music, with an unforgettable stage and scene. There is even a tiny extra bar with a surly bleach blonde doting on the locals and serving beer in plastic cups. Don't expect her to pay much attention to you, but the rest of the bars are tourist friendly until all hours of the morning. This is the bar and club you are probably looking for if you are looking for a late night diverse crowd in the center.
