• The Globe Bookstore and Café is one of the most established English language bookstores in Czech Republic. 10,000 new and used books ranging from the obvious to the sublime. They have awesome coffee, wonderful tea, an ambitious menu and an eclectic social and entertainment calendar. From Alchemist readings on the the first Monday of each month, to the free movie nights every Sunday, to the live music all month, it is no wonder it is a favorite of tourists, ex-patriots, students and professors. Check out their randomly updated website, or just stop in for coffee, dinner, a 40Kc soup or a 90Kc lunch and speak to the 'staff du jour' and find out what is going on while you are there. Open for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Happy Hour, and late night revelry. Be prepared to overhear English, French, German and, if you are lucky, a little Czech. But don't expect the staff to know much, they all 'just started'. Perpetually.
