Description:
Long gone from this place are the once-familiar hordes of neighborhood locals lording over the tables for hours as their beer tickets mount. The brewers of Pilsner have moved in with tables and booths among the alcoves and balconies, along with big-screen TVs showing the latest Czech sports triumph, and a wider range of cuisine beyond the pigs' knuckle and pickled eggs of yesteryear. Now a mug of Pilsner Urquell costs about 26Kc ($1.25/60p), and it can be enjoyed with goulash or goose, and even trout or salmon. You can find multiple choices of fresh salads, though the lettuce will often disappoint.
