Franz Kafka Museum

Description:

  • Explore Prague through Kafka's eyes at the Kafka Museum, which lies within steps of the writer's birthplace, one of his childhood homes and his school which are all scattered around Staromestske namesti (Old Town Square). There are often exhibitions by either Jewish or Czech-born German artists, as well as those which are linked in some way to Kafka's writings. Thirty miles worth of underground passages, a military cemetery, a museum, and various events makes this ancient site a must-see. If you're brave enough, take the 45-minute tour of the darkened, underground passages with candles as the only source of light.
