    • The Lobkowicz Palace is the restored glory of the Lobkowicz family which not only inhabited it from the 16th century until the Nazi Occupation, but supported art, culture and most generously, Ludwig Van Beethoven throughout the years. The family had its palace, and practically all its assets seized again by the communists in 1948 and regained possession of the estate last in 2002. After extensive renovation, they reopened in 2007 and it is, by most accounts the best presentation of fine art in the Czech Republic. If you are an art or classical music lover, be sure to include The Princely Collections in your plans. You wouldn't want to go home and say you didn't see the original manuscript of Beethoven's Fifth, would you?
