• The epitome of communist architecture. These socially controlling housing projects, now privately owned, are thankfully absent from Prague 1,2, and 5 but consume the skyline of Černý Most, South City, Modřany and other outlying areas. They resemble rabbit houses and lie in stark contrast to a city that took its architecture so seriously for the past 1200 years. They do provide affordable housing to millions throughout the countries formerly controlled by communists, and are being renovated with improved aesthetics, albeit slowly and one at at time. SIDENOTE Both the current Prime Minister Jan Fisher and Yours Truly reside in such a place.
