User Review:
- Literally one tram stop upstream from the center, this small museum houses a maritime collection that is a must stop for boat lovers. It is the oldest remaining building from the settlement of Pololi, an ancient fishing villiage below the cliffs of Vyšehrad Fortress, the legendary palace of Queen Libuše. This museum also houses an interesting pub in the basement, open until 11pm and serving reasonablably price beer and food. SIDENOTE: The familiar greeting "AHOJ" in Czech is pronounced much like the maritime greeting AHOY. This comes from the latin acronym Ad Honorom O Jesus, as a way of identifying Christian vessels. I do not know how an atheistic, landlocked country adopted it as their everyday greeting, but perhaps the answer lies in the maritime museum in Vyton!
