- The Other Prague Castle. This is the legendary original palace of Queen Libuša and King Premýsl, but it is clear that the Hradčany is older in reality by about 70 years. Castle is not really still there, but there is a fortress, cathedral and a historically significant cemetery, the final resting places of Mucha, Dvořak and Smetana. Also Jan Opletal, a student killed by the Nazis whose grave the students visited at the seminal march of the Velvet Revolution. Quiet and peaceful in comparison to its bigger brother on the opposite side of the Vltava. It is worth seeing and hiking around, give yourself a couple hours to explore. Sunsets are particularly nice. Amazing views of the city from atop the fortress. Combine it with a tour of the Cubist Architecture or Emmaus Monastary nearby.
