Guide to Stylish Prague Nightlife
Day Note:
After you spend your first day in Prague basking in the beauty of Old Town and Josefov, head to Wenceslas Square (Václavské náměstí). This is by no means the most beautiful part of Prague and is often packed with tourists but don't be fooled. Not only is this area chock full of history but some of the city's most stylish spots live in and around this chaotic square. It only makes sense- you're right in the center of the action. Start with dinner at the bold...

Description:
COMO, formerly HOT, stands out within the classically art deco Jalta Hotel with a bold red and white color scheme. This mingling of styles carries over into the cuisine, which is evident in the personalized Mediterranean menu, which includes succulent steaks, scrumptious salads, tasty tapas, and even a few Czech specialties. You can even watch the chefs hard at work through a lighted window in the dining room. But this isn't just a place to stop for dinner. Well-known for its cocktails (although occasionally a bit on the weak side), COMO offers live music nightly so you can enjoy the hip atmosphere while sipping on one of their brightly-colored brews long after the plates are cleared away.

Day Note:
Maybe you explored the Castle area today or maybe you had a Thai massage. Either way, I hope you have the energy for a big night out (the latter might work more to your advantage in this case…). Start with dinner at Universal. While its popularity has waned slightly in the past few years, due in part, I suspect, to the recent upsurge in modern, trendy spots, Universal still maintains the air of a "place-to-be." It's definitely worth visiting this Prague landmark...

Description:
Once upon a time, this was one of the hottest spots in town to eat, and everything from the wait to the service reflected that. These days, its less crowded but still popular for its affordable hybrid fare. Substantial salads with sautéed chicken and sesame combination is especially good. Alternatively, try the chicken in coconut milk. Vegetarian dishes are also recommended. The service has improved considerably but still sometimes comes up short.

This multi-level venue is a club with a full bar and restaurant on its premises. With so much to offer this is a great place to bring your friends and enjoy the view from above the city. Whether you want to tear up the dance floor, grab a bite to eat, or you want to mingle with others by the bar, you can't go wrong with Club Duplex.
Day Note:
After last night, it may be a good idea to slow it down. Here is a slightly more old-fashioned version of the "see-and-be-seen" world. Start at an Old Town giant: La Bodeguita del Medio. Although it's Cuban-owned and run, don't expect authentic Cuban cuisine (as a Miami-born-and-raised-Cuban, I feel confident making this possibly controversial statement. I'd guess it's got more of an Argentinean flair). Do, however, expect a very elegant restaurant, bar, and...

Description:
A place to be seen, with genuine Latin American entertainment and a Cuban-ish menu, this bar/restaurant gets packed fast. Drinks aren't cheap but they're good. Service isn't warm but it's efficient. The downstairs area has more room for dancing, but the ground floor seems to collect the crowd's energy, trapping the buzz. Stomping ground for tourists? Maybe. But La Bodeguita also offers stomping, singing, swiveling entertainment that's tough to ignore. And while you're there, feel free to light up a Cuban cigar, readily available at this raucous yet classy bar.

Description:
Bugsy's has a cocktail list the size of a phonebook here. However, drink more than a few and your bill will contain almost as many numbers. The bar staff are as professional and knowledgeable as they come and have won more bartending awards than staff anywhere else in the country. If you ask for it, they will make it for you. Expect no backpackers here as well-heeled businessmen from all over and their consorts all but live in this place. A swanky interior and an air of jovial exclusivity hangs thicker than the smoke from innumerable cigars.
Day Note:
It's your last night so it's time to go all out. Start with a light dinner, some fashion TV, and a neon cocktail at Glamour Café in Lesser Town. Then grab a tram or walk across the bridge to Old Town, where you'll find M1. This is a spot for everyone from students to models, locals to ex-pats. Local DJs spin different music each night and Prague's hip partiers come in droves. Before you know it, it's closing time but it's your last night in Prague and you're...

When regular clubs empty out, Studio 54 is just opening its doors. Sort of an ode to the New York original's famed hedonism, resident DJs play tasty dance tracks until three in the afternoon. That's why this is a popular after-hours hotspot for image-conscious locals, hardcore partiers, and club personnel who just got off work. If you want to fit in, just grab a drink, dress to impress, and wear some shades.
