Description:
Simple but refined, award winning Italian food is what you'll find at the Four Seasons signature restaurant, Allegro. Chef Andrea Accordi beautifully blends Italian and Mediterranean cuisines and puts his own delicious spin on Bohemian specialties. Allegro also offers a rotating foodie special event calendar, featuring creative delicacies based on the season.
Author note:
When it comes to one of the finest Italian meals in town, you have to spend an evening at Allegro. The Michelin starred restaurant is one of the city's best. For a more local, friendly vibe, hit Kmotra (Godfather) for one of their wood-fired pizzas.

Description:
Even with the plethora of pizza places now in town; Kmotra is still the joint that locals seek out. Their fantastic wood-fired pizzas, huge pasta selection (homemade) and a decent wine list make it a safe bet for a variety of eaters. They offer a non-smoking room, plus a big TV for the sports set. The Letní Romance is a fresh pie with olive oil and both fresh and sundried tomatoes. Or perhaps a nice spaghetti tossed with seafood and tomatoes is more for you?

Description:
The pricey dining experience that can be had at La Degustation is worth every koruna. Three different seven-course wine and meal choices are offered on a rotating basis: modern European cooking is experienced via the Boheme Bourgoisie menu; smaller appetites will appreciate the Boheme Continentale selection of smaller, simpler dishes and finally old Czech cooking is energized on the Boheme Traditionnelle menu. A thoroughly delicious evening of discovery.
Author note:
For an overindulgent evening of excellent food and wine, La Degustation is our recommendation for you. Looking for varied European cuisine in a quiet spot? Klub Architektu will suffice.

Description:
Tucked into the alcoves of a 12th-century cellar across the courtyard from Jan Hus's Bethlehem Chapel, this eclectic clubhouse for the city's progressive architects' society is the best nonpub deal in Old Town. Among the exposed air ducts and industrial swag lights hovering above the tables in the stone dungeon, you can choose from baked chicken, pork steaks, pasta, stir-fried chicken, and even vegetarian burritos. It's not really spectacular, but the large portions and variety will satisfy a range of tastes. The wicker seating in the courtyard makes a summer night among the torches enjoyable, though the alfresco menu is limited.

Description:
You are in central Europe, far, far from the spice and fieriness of good Mexican cooking. Amigos is a laid back place with a massive menu, doing a better than average job when it comes to cooking up burritos, enchiladas, fajitas and other typical Mexican specialties. The good prices (compared to other Mexican restaurants in town) and the very nice summer garden out back make it a good stop if a salsa craving hits. There are a variety of other cuisines on offer, like steak, salads and seafood.
Author note:
You are in Prague, and we can't really recommend Mexican. Those searching for fiery chilli's, or any hint of spice will be sorely disappointed. If the burritos are calling though, hit Amigo's for a casual vibe and the best priced Mexican in town. Locals flock to Cantina, often only for their margaritas.

Description:
This restaurant takes you a step south of the border: Prague style. Mariachi music and Latino classics echo through the reasonably priced, bright yellow space which caters to a trendy crowd of young professionals and expats craving a spicy alternative to blander Czech cuisine. Usually crowded, the combination of Tex-Mex favorites and a jovial atmosphere is a proven winner. Expect a reasonably priced menu of standard Tex-Mex fare: nachos, quesadillas, fajitas and burritos served with salsa and guacamole. Margaritas and Mexican beers are also on offer. Brazilian coffee bean sacks cover the ceiling while neon Mexican beer signs, neon cacti, sombreros and pictures of Mexican rodeo complement the numerous Aztec figures dotted around the place.

Description:
This low-ceiling hall nicknamed 'The Hollow' is a large and friendly pub with a wide menu and choice of beer. A few hundred yards from Wenceslas Square, it tends to be quite popular with English-speaking expats and Czechs who gather around the central bar or on the wooden tables around it. The menu includes a mixture of Tex-Mex, traditional Czech and contemporary American dishes. The choice ranges from fried chicken wings to spicy burritos.
Author note:
Need a burger fix? Jama will fix you up right, and they've got an excellent range of specialty brews on tap. If you are all over experimenting food-wise, hit Hard Rock Cafe for some comfort food.

Description:
The word "dhaba" refers to a small local restaurant along a highway in India. They are usually in gas stations and open 24 hours a day. Sometimes they even have places for a quick nap. Beas Vegetarian Dhaba, located about 100m off Old Town Square, doesn't offer naptime but it does offer cheap and tasty Northern Indian cuisine. It has a small set menu but the best value changes daily. You can choose the "Male" (small) or "Velke" (big) menu. Cafeteria-style, your Czech order-taker will take a big stainless steal platter and spoon several of the day's specials into the individual compartments. For about $4 you can have a fresh, flavorful, and very velke lunch. You'll find pitchers of free water on each table but if you want something a bit more authentic to drink with your meal, a lassi (Indian yogurt drink) will only cost you an extra $0.50.
Author note:
Vegetarians aren't well-catered for in Prague so it's refreshing to have at least two great restaurants. Beas is a perfect lunch stop, cheap and filling thanks to their set Indian menu. Lehka Hlava is a creative dream with a mix of cuisines ranging from Italian to Mexican and more.

Description:
For one of the most elegant dinners in Prague head way up the infamous "Dancing Building" in Prague 2 to Celeste. The staff at this French restaurant usually performs well; serving up modern and creative cuisine with an emphasis on freshness. The contemporary interior is a nice backdrop to the beautiful views. An excellent wine list and summer terrace are just two more reasons to visit.
Author note:
Prague seems to have more than its fair share of French restaurants (nothing compared to Paris we suppose) and what most of them have in common is astronomical tabs. Celeste isn't a budget evening, but you'll get delightful food in a magical setting on top of the famed "dancing house" building. A relaxed bistro on the Seine evening can be recreated at the charming Chez Marcel.

Description:
Off a small, secluded square in Old Town, this casual French country restaurant attracts a young French Embassy crowd and is a good option for post-theater or late dining. On the menu are large portions of salmon and beef tips, tangy soups, cold appetizers like thinly sliced marinated salmon, and unique salads. There's also steak and fries for those who don't want to venture into the chalkboard's daily specials. There's a little more room to breathe here than at La Provence, but the menu isn't as eclectic. Chez Marcel is affiliated with the Brasserie Le Molière in Vinohrady, which offers an even wider selection of daily specials.
