    • Ditsong Museum of Natural History (a.k.a. Transvaal Museum) is found on the corner of Visagie and Paul Kruger Streets (entrance in Paul Kruger). It houses displays of birds (the Austen Roberts Bird Collection), fish, reptiles, amphibians, larger animals, and other natural (geographical) phenomena. You will know you are at the right address when you see the whale skeleton that make a hanging display toward the right of the entrance to the museum. You may wish to park you car across the road, at the Pretoria City Hall. (It will be more secure there than it would be parked on the street.) After your visit you may need a bite to eat; La Paradise Cafe is found to the right of the entrance. Their menu is light, tasty, and very affordable. As the serving portions are reasonalbe in size, you are not left with the feeling you need to sleep it off before setting off on the next item on your sight-seeing itinerary.
