Description:
This very modest beachside restaurant is literally on the beach -- you can take off your flip-flops and feel the sand between your toes. It's one of those perennially reliable spots that leave you satisfied and happy. It's open virtually all day and is the perfect spot to recharge after snorkeling the Bight Reef, just steps away. At breakfast the mango pancakes are a big hit. Lunch flows into dinner, with the same menu and prices, and you can't go wrong with the Guyanese pepper-pot soup with callaloo (local spinach), Janet's Fish Tea (seafood in a curry broth with vegetables and Chinese noodles), or a homemade Trinidadian rôti: flatbread stuffed with curried chicken, vegetables, or seafood -- delicious. Kids' meals include burgers and hot dogs.
