Puebla is the fourth most important city in Mexico, so it's not surprise that a lot business is made here. Depending on where your business meeting is, there are a lot of options for you to stay comfortably and close to work.
The Angelopolis area is, right now, the commercial heart of the city. The Camino Real Angelopolis is the best option to stay, american comfort in a golf course is perfect for a business traveler. If you don;t need that much of a luxury, the Hotel Villa Florida is still in Angelopolis, but is less expensive.
If your meeting is downtown, the Camino Real is great for you. Stay in an old convent, with great comfort and just two blocks from the Zocalo and the City Hall. If you had something more modest in mind, NH is great for you; it's not that close to the Zocalo, but is still downtown.
The Convention Center has a lot of events, fairs and conferences, and it also has one of the most beautiful and modern hotels in Puebla at walking distance. The Purificadora may not be the best hotel in the city, it may not have the best service, but it has the most modern architecture you'll see around here. You should at least visit it.
If you don't really have time to go into the city, and your meeting is at the VW or the Industrial Park, the Holiday Inn Finsa is where you should stay.
But, no mater what hotel you may choose, you'll surely fell at home, because that;s what Puebla is all about.
