Though Puebla is not that a big city, it does have a lot of places, specially restaurants, that are not near downtown. This is the Top 10 List of Best Restaurants Off The Beaten Path in Puebla.
There are 3 main zones in Puebla that are further away from downtown than "La Juarez", the main restaurant, bars and clubs street. That's why none of these places are in La Juarez, they are either in Angelópolis, La Paz or Huexotitla.
Those 3 areas are really nice, while La Paz was the luxury neighborhood during the 60's- thus all the buildings are a modern functionalism style-, Angelopolis is the newest and more luxurious part of the city. This is also the commercial center of the city.
Huexotitla used to be a residential neighborhood that lately has become the favorite place to go have dinner for locals.
But the most important part is that, regardless of where these restaurants are, they're some of the best in Puebla, so your can't pick wrong, all you have to do is make up your mind and chose what do you want to eat!
