Description:
Hotel Esturión is spacious, well equipped, and just a 10-minute walk from the town center. The main building has the look of a modern, tropical schoolhouse, but, in general, the facilities have a pleasing aesthetic. The huge pool and surrounding grounds have a Caribbean feel, though the safari-style staff uniforms are a little over-the-top. Rooms are decent, if a little functional and dated, and some have pleasant balconies. The lobby bar is very stylish and appealing. Service can be patchy, however; some staff members are helpful and efficient, and others are plain rude. Do not expect much English. The grounds are as expansive as the breakfast buffet, which is an excellent spread, and the food in general is good -- particularly the asado (Argentine barbecue).
